Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine has a unique style that blends R&B with soul, gospel music, and R&B. Avery Sunshine has appeared on Broadway and in festivals throughout Europe, as well as performing at Democratic National Convention. Sunshine has been born Denise White. She is now a resident of Atlanta the place she was raised is Chester Pennsylvania. Her musical journey began in the church, where she sang and was a pianist. She studied at Spellman College and began to study the R&B style of Atlanta. The Fighting Temptations The single that featured her vocals,"Stalk You a House 12, was only released in Japan. The song has been remixed numerous times and has become a staple of her live show. Also, she contributed to The Fighting Temptations soundtrack. She was named the principal keyboardist for Tyler Perry's stage play Meet the Browns in 2005. Jennifer Holliday (a Grammy and Tony Award winner) approached her for the position of choir conductor for Dreamgirls in Atlanta for the National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine received national attention for several performances throughout the Democratic National Convention in 2008. Sunshine was invited to perform as part of Obama's inaugural ceremony in 2009.
